Permission Slips for Life: Bashar’s Guide to Manifestation

Your Ticket to the New Earth!

If you’ve ever carried a crystal in your pocket, whispered affirmations, or taken a prescription drug, congratulations: you’ve already used a permission slip.

No, not the kind your parents signed so you could go to the planetarium in fourth grade—though it’s sort of the same thing. A permission slip, as Bashar (the channeled entity) puts it, is anything you give yourself permission to believe works.

In other words, a permission slip is a prop that helps you align with your own beliefs, enhancing your ability to shape your reality. It doesn’t do the magic—it just reminds your subconscious that you can do it.

The Cosmic Hall Pass

Bashar’s idea is both hilariously simple and profoundly liberating. You don’t need to “earn” the right to believe in healing, abundance, magic, or peace. You just need to give yourself permission to experience them—and that’s where your permission slips come in.

Make your own permission slips!

A permission slip can come in the form of a tool, ritual, or symbol—something your conscious mind can grab onto while your subconscious quietly reconfigures its operating system.

For some people, it’s a tarot card spread that reminds them they’re being guided. For others, it’s visiting a doctor, taking a yoga class, prayer, cold plunges, EFT tapping, or even that daily almond-milk latte that signals “I’m cared for, I’m abundant, I’ve got this.”

The object, action, or practice doesn’t really matter. Your belief in it does.

Permission slips won’t cause your transformation—they’re catalysts for tapping into your beliefs, which is what actually flips the switch. As Bashar says, “All physical tools are permission slips you give yourself to be who you already are.”

Let Nature give you permission to thrive!

Why We Need Permission in the First Place

Here’s the cosmic joke: we’re already infinite beings of energy pretending we need permission to feel good. Somewhere between birth and adulthood, we started outsourcing our authority to parents, teachers, bosses, experts, algorithms, and occasionally that friend who “knows astrology.”

We learned that in order to change, we need external validation: the certification, the degree, the book, the coach, the course, the medicine. Bashar flips that on its head. He says the tools are just mirrors showing us what we already believe is possible.

The problem isn’t that we use rituals or objects—it’s that we forget we’re the ones activating them. We hand over the power to the crystal, the pill, or the doctor instead of remembering that it’s our own belief that causes our change.

Think of it like Dumbo’s feather. The feather didn’t make him fly—it just helped him believe he could. When he finally realized that, he no longer needed the feather.

How to Spot Your Own Permission Slips

You probably have dozens already:

  • The playlist that instantly lifts your mood.
  • The Ibuprofen that relieves your headache.
  • The way you inhale your favorite essential oil and suddenly feel “back in your body.”
  • The massage therapist who always makes you feel better.
  • That one pair of lucky socks you swear makes you more productive (no judgment).

Anything that signals your system, “Now I’m in alignment,” is a permission slip. It’s your inner being’s way of saying, “Okay, reality—let’s dance.”

The trick is to use them consciously instead of unconsciously. When you do, you become the author of your magical life instead of a side character in it.

Use whatever permission slips make you feel better

How to Use Permission Slips Intentionally

  1. Identify what makes you feel connected—a song, crystal, walk in Nature, protein snack, phone call to a friend, blood pressure pill…
Notice what consistently helps you shift from anxiety to calm, scarcity to trust, or confusion to clarity. Write them down. These are the current permission slips that work for you.
  2. Acknowledge the real power source.
Each time you use one, remind yourself: This works because I believe it does. You’re training your brain to attribute the transformation to your belief—not giving your power away to the tool itself.
  3. Experiment like a scientist of the soul.
Try new permission slips and observe the results. Meditation, dance, acupuncture, writing, homeopathy, chanting, doodling, sipping herbal tea, singing to your plants, making offerings to your ancestors—it’s all fair game.
  4. Let them evolve.
As your beliefs expand, your permission slips might too. Maybe you start with tarot, then move to journaling, and eventually realize that sipping tea while watching sunlight through the window is all the ritual you need. That’s growth.
  5. Drop the guilt.
You don’t have to prove yourself by “transcending the tools.” If charging your water, crystals, candles, doctors, coaches, or mantras help you—great. They’re the training wheels of consciousness. The goal isn’t to throw them away, but to fly free when you’re ready… just like Dumbo!

The only rule: if it raises your frequency or makes you feel better, it’s valid.

The Practical Magic of Belief

The beauty of Bashar’s framework is that it makes life playful and fun again. It turns your life into an experiment in belief rather than a grim to-do list for growth.

When you realize you can choose any tool, any ritual, any belief—and the Universe will meet you there—you stop arguing about who’s “right.” You start having fun with it.

That’s the quantum-level hack. The permission slip is not the magic wand; it’s the reminder that YOU are the wand—and the magic.

So whether it’s a cup of matcha, open heart surgery, a moonlit ritual, or just a moment of choosing joy over worry—each choice is a signature on your own hall pass to infinite freedom.

A True Story (Because We All Love Evidence)

Over twenty years ago, I started a “manifestation journal.” Nothing fancy—just a digital journal where I’d write about what I wanted as if it had already happened. Since I had just lost my job and was broke at the time, what I mainly wanted was money, so I came up with all sorts of exercises (permission slips) to clear my money blocks.

Write your own permission slips!

The first month, I manifested… absolutely nothing. The second month, a little money started trickling in (which, let’s be honest, could have been coincidence). By the third month, freelance jobs were rolling in out of the blue and a client signed up who’d found me through my new website. And I haven’t worried about money since!

As I look back today, it’s obvious: the journal wasn’t magic—well, actually it was. It was the permission slip sort of magic. My belief that “writing brings clarity and aligns me with my desires” told my subconscious to start looking for evidence—and the Universe (my Higher Self) politely obliged.

That journal is now a book I published on Amazon, called Money Magic—90 Days to Prosperity (if I republish, I think the subtitle should be Poverty to Plenty in 90 Days).

I know the real spell was never in the writing. It was me holding a positive focus and believing that my words mattered.

Giving Yourself Permission

So, what if you started giving yourself permission slips today for everything that lights you up?

  • Permission to rest.
  • Permission to laugh.
  • Permission to set boundaries.
  • Permission to trust your intuition even when logic says otherwise.
  • Permission to believe—not because it’s “scientifically proven,” but because it feels good.

When you treat belief as an art form, life gets lighter. You start realizing you don’t need anyone else to sign your form anymore. You’re the principal of your own cosmic school.

In the end, Bashar’s message is both mystical and practical: the Universe reflects what you believe is possible. Permission slips are just the props that help you remember that truth long enough to live it.

So go ahead—light the candle, drink the green smoothie, chant the mantra, swallow the vitamin, write the list. And as you do, whisper the real magic words:

“I give myself permission.”

Because that’s when the Universe smiles and says, “Finally.”
